Larry Cox
Larry has extensive experience working in and with manufacturing, public accounting and consulting firms. He began his career in the finance division with a Fortune 500 manufacturing company where his assignments included analysis and programming of reporting systems, cost accounting and financial reporting. As a consultant with national and regional CPA firms, Larry has provided accounting, tax and computer consulting services for businesses in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing and wholesale distribution.
He holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Cincinnati with a concentration in finance, and an undergraduate degree in accounting and M.I.S. from Bowling Green State University.
An active community member, Larry has served on the Stark Development Board, trustee for Habitat for Humanity, his church council, and as treasurer for a variety of charitable organizations. He is married with two children. He enjoys fly fishing, gardening, Tae Kwon Do, and is presently studying Seven Star Praying Mantis Kung Fu.
Dave Scourfield
Dave began his career with the tax department of one of the “big four” national CPA firms. During that time, he specialized in providing accounting, tax, and consulting services to a wide range of small, medium, and large businesses.
He left public accounting to pursue his passion of systems consulting and has over 15 years experience implementing business and accounting systems for small to medium sized business in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, distribution, and professional services. He has a real enthusiasm for the Sage MAS 90 family of products and the solutions they deliver to his clients, having worked with Sage MAS90 and Sage MAS 200 since 1989. Over the years Dave has helped hundreds of clients capitalize on their business systems. His holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting with a minor in Computer Science from The University of Akron.
When Dave is not helping his clients with their business software systems, he is busy with community and church activities, having served as treasurer for a number of charitable organizations. He loves spending time with his wife and three boys, and enjoys biking, skiing, gardening and riding his motorcycle. Dave has also been known to make jewelry for his wife’s home-based jewelry business and talks about one day retiring from consulting to become a Park Ranger for the National Park Service.
Brent Harvey
Matrix Integrated Solutions is pleased to announce the addition of Brent A. Harvey to our management team as a new partner. Brent brings more than 20 years of experience in computer programming and consulting to Matrix, and will assist our clients with a variety of custom programming, integration and technical projects.
Brent joins Matrix from Ohio Wholesale Company where he served as information systems manger for the past four years. Prior to that, he was a senior manager for a local software reseller. His expertise includes programming and consulting in manufacturing, distribution, warehouse management and medical systems.
Our MAS clients can tap Brent’s extensive experience in system integration and development to help maximize efficiencies in their systems. His technical background also includes ProvideX, MAS 90/200/500 programming, HighJump supply chain management software, and utilizing various Microsoft tools such as Excel, SQL, Visual Basic and .NET applications. Brent will be responsible for integration, electronic data interchange (EDI), conversions, database management, and specialized reporting in Crystal Reports and other programs.
Brent is a graduate of Kent State University, where he earned a B.S. degree in Business and Computer Science. He is a resident of Twinsburg where he lives with his wife, Beth, and sons Benjamin, 15, and Brad, 12.
Brent is Assistant Scoutmaster of his local Boy Scouts of America troop and enjoys planning the monthly camping trips and big annual campout. Brent’s son Benjamin recently acquired his Eagle Scout rank in scouting.
